The 2003 Fair & Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) has a provision premitting anyone in the nation to have access to one free credit report from EACH of the 3 credit bureaus ( Trans Union, Equifax & Experian)

Your written request must include:

1. Your full name
2. Address
3. Social Security Number
4. Date of Birth
5. Specify which companies reports you would like (Trans Union, Equifax & Experian)

THERE IS ONLY ONE CENTRAL SOURCE TO OBTAIN YOUR FREE CREDIT REPORT

*BEWARE*  Other companies may offer misleading free credit reports.  These are generally a free trial to a fee based credit monitoring service.


This central site allows you to request a free credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
